Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier

The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier is one of Fort Walton Beach’s most iconic spots, stretching over 1,200 feet into the Gulf of Mexico. Originally built in 1972 and rebuilt in 1998, the pier now reaches nearly a quarter mile offshore, giving anglers easy access to deeper waters without ever leaving land. The octagon at the end creates extra space to fish and is known for attracting bigger catches. Whether you're an experienced angler or just trying it out for fun, the pier offers the chance to reel in tarpon, king mackerel, cobia, and more. It’s an easy, affordable way to experience some of the best fishing on the Emerald Coast.
