The room was the nicest I think we have ever stayed in at Destin. The room was updated and clean. The pool is small, but it was warm and the staff on the beach were super friendly.

The condo was in a great location right on the beach. The decor was cute. The cleanliness was not what it should have been. The hard surfaces had not been wiped down. There was dust all over the lamps, hanging light fixtures and vents. The walls and doors had stuff that also should have been wipes down. Otherwise, it had a great view of the ocean and was convenient to the stairs going to the parking lot and beach.

We enjoyed our stay here! The views were stunning and the condo was very clean. Our boys loved playing shuffleboard and racquetball when we weren't swimming. The complementary beach umbrella and chair service was ideal! We will miss watching the dolphins out on the balcony!

Had a great stay here! Our unit was clean, well equipped and recently updated. The only negative thing I can say about the unit was the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced. The wooden table and chairs are very unstable and the other chairs had rust. Didn’t impact our trip and would still stay in this unit again, would’ve just been nice to be able to utilize the balcony better.

We really felt at home in this condo. It was very clean (I’m picky when it comes to cleanliness of condos), the furniture was comfortable, the condo was spacious and the decor modern and updated. The view from the balcony was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is better kitchen tools. We had to buy a pan to cook in as the one in the condo was in bad shape and food was burning. There is a really nice dry bar but no wine bottle opener. So a few more and nicer kitchen items would be good. Also some better tall chairs on the balcony. The two there are wooden and falling apart and the other chairs are so low you can’t see over the railing. The noise from the pool at night is a bit loud when sitting on the balcony But having said all that, we would most definitely stay here again as the negatives are only minor and we really enjoyed our stay there. With it being only 3 fights up we could use the stairs instead of the elevators which was really nice. We enjoyed the location of this condo as well as it is in a less busy part of Destin.

I have stayed at the Holiday Surf & Raquet club for over 20 years in different condos. I love the views and locations. I always read condo reviews and was a little surprised it got so many 5 star reviews and talked about how clean it was. Several dishes had been put away dirty. Both can openers, electric and hand held did not work. The stove was hard to figure out because you can’t read the settings, like high or low, anymore. We never could get the tv to work in the living room. I understand we were at the beach and we really did make the best of it. I just know there are much nicer condos there that are clean and well equipped that I will choose next time.

Property description said "recently updated" but it's actually been several+ years. Furnishings tasteful, beds very comfortable, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils, but needs maintenance. Finally got the ac working after 2 service calls. Towel rack torn off wall in master bath, not cleaned well, light bulbs burned out. Spilled a cup of water on the floor and wiped with towel that was then black with dirt. Dining chair cushions were very dirty. Needs a good deep cleaning. Patio furniture was terrible. Rusted and got on the towels and suits we laid out to dry. Would recommend composite materials for outdoor furniture. Staff was great and ac service people were great.

This unit was clean and decorated beautifully. Well equipped with everything you needed. It is close to the stairwell so it was an easy Walk to the beach. Made some wonderful memories and plan to return. I highly recommend this unit as well as the location and complex.

We loved the unit. We’ve been coming for several years and had stayed at another unit each time in the past. Both equally beautiful but this one feels more roomy for some reason. It might be the light colors and beach feel to it. We really liked the location of the unit but it is near the end and will require quite a bit of walking if that is a issue. But it is right next to the stairs and was a quick exit to the parking lot. We already booked the unit again for next year.

This was our first time staying in Unit 302 and it was beautiful, updated and clean. I have been staying at Holiday Surf for 14 years and was an owner for 12 years. I love this place and area. Will always stay here when visiting Destin.

First, check-in for the hotel is 4pm. We timed our 12 hour drive to where we arrived at 4pm with 3 kids. We got to the front desk and our room wasn't available yet and I was told they would text me when it was ready. Upon sitting there we discovered at least 6 other families who were having the same problem. It is completely unacceptable to have a check-in time of 4pm and the rooms not be ready. Finally, after 1.5 hours of waiting I checked-in with the desk for a update and was told "oh yeah, I have it marked as ready". No phone call, nothing and they watched us hanging around the lobby that entire time. The room was decently cleaned, a plug outlet was basically ripped out of the wall with some live wires, which we told the front desk about but no one ever came and the dishes did not seem very clean so we rewashed everything by hand before using it. The kitchen was not stocked the best and had no sharp knives, we had to go out and buy knives to cut our fruit. The pullout bed had a bed cover on it with what we assumed was rust discoloration on the white cover, so that was a little disturbing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were cleaned well and comfortable. However, if you have small kids and plan to give them a bath their tubs have no stopper, we attempted to use one we found under the sink but it did not work so we made do with putting a wash cloth in the drain. The deck is pretty tight with the furniture they have placed but it is a great view of the beach. A lot of the problems we had was with the "resort" and not this particular room. I would recommend the owners get some sort of indoor/outdoor rug for the living room as the tile throughout the entire condo is porcelain tile so sand will go everywhere no matter how well you clean up. Overall, the beach is fantastic and the pool was good. No where close to really walk for food you had to drive everywhere. Highly recommend going down to the Harbor (about 15 minutes away) to try the restaurants down there.

We have stayed in this unit for 3 years and really love everything about it. And, if possible, we will try to stay here on any of our trips to Destin. We always have a large group each year and this unit is great for entertaining with a dinner. It is truly "my happy place"!

Overall had a good experience.
The room was not as clean as previous visits. Sand on the floor and balcony was not swept. I had to go buy my own swiffer and swiffer pads to do the cleaning myself. Also had to buy cleaning supplies (swiffer wet pads, windex, bathroom cleaner). Furniture was very nice and condo was very updated.

We loved this unit and the view of the beach. Everything was clean and all furniture/ flooring/appliances looked new and were in excellent condition. Front desk staff were nice and quick to get us checked in.
This wasn't an issue for us, but may be for some. The condo does have an elevator so getting to the third floor was not a problem, but this particular unit is at the farthest end of the building from the elevator so be prepared to walk and make sure you grab a luggage cart. There are stairs right outside the room that are just as quick as walking back to the elevator, but not ideal when loading/unloading car, groceries, etc.

The description of the property was accurate including the layout and amenities. The staff was very accommodating to us "newbies". I would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend time in Destin Beach. We enjoyed playing cards with the "snowbirds" but wished there were more organized activities almost on a nightly basis. We went to Pensacola to the Aviation Museum and Lighthouse, enjoyed eating at McGuire's Irish Pub, La Paz Cantina and enjoyed the Native people's museum nearby.

We had a wonderful trip. The room was beautiful we loved everything about it. We did have a little problem with the toilet just not flushing properly but maintenance fixed it right away and was very nice and helpful. Also the owners were so upset that happen to us they sent us pizza and cheese sticks and pop which we thought was very very nice of them we appreciated it alot plus it was very yummy. The view is just gorgeous from the room. Perfect location close to everything. Room is very updated and i highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back!

Overall a great place to stay! Location a little ways away from commercial areas if you don't have transportation, but otherwise good. We had an issue with the gate to let cars into the parking area which they didn't resolve during our time there. At one point we had to get out, go through the pedestrian gate and ask them to open it so we could park our car. A bit annoying as it was raining and we rang for service 3 times before getting out and telling them to open it up. Additionally we were told no pets are allowed on the property. We expected this and experienced pets on the grounds. Apparently this rule only applies to guests, not residents of the property. The terms and conditions make you think otherwise. During our stay we also had "house keeping" open our door while we were there. Our contract said there was no such service other than towel service from house keeping. Upon opening the door we asked what is going on? The lady said the front desk said we had a problem and to check on us. We did not have a problem or report one and the lady said she had the wrong room and left. A bit odd and also a bit disturbing. Everything else was great. Great location, beach front property, friendly staff, nearby restaurants, amenities and the view. We would go back.

I can't tell you all the things that were just awesome about our unit!! It was fabulous, felt like home with a comfortable spa feel. All the love that the owners have put in the unit really do show and makes you so happy.
For Holiday Surf and Racquet Club this place is spectacular from all the amenities to all the staff. The staff from desk to beach and even contractors were polite, professional and was there for all your needs.
This is our 2nd year, and can't wait to start planning for the 3rd. My favorite place so far on this side of the states.

Our stay in Unit 302 has been the favorite of our family. The unit is just as beautiful as the pictures with an even better view and walk to the ocean than imagined. There was plenty of space for the four of us and my baby niece, and we enjoyed being close to plenty of restaurants and the Harbor Walk. The only issue we encountered was our gate code. We were given a different code each day because the previous would not work. It finally worked on the last day, but it was a mess getting back into the property when we would venture elsewhere. All in all, we look forward to visiting again!

Everything about our stay in #302 was absolutely wonderful! The condo was beautiful and perfectly located. We enjoyed the ocean view and waking up to watch the dolphins play every morning. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and my 2 year old son loved the pack and play with the custom tempurapedic mattress(best he’s ever slept). We can’t wait to come back here!

This old property, a longstanding jewel of Holiday Isle, is beginning to show its age. Of course, the location is great-the condo was in fine condition, although the towels left were thin and worn. The common areas are somewhat rusty and a little dirty, with cracks showing in much of the concrete. The tennis courts need resurfacing, and the fitness area can best be described as "drab" and basic.
This property needs a facelift and refurbishing to restore it to its previous beauty.

The condo is just gorgeous. It's beautifully decorated and fully stocked. The location is perfect. Beach access is amazing and a gorgeous pool is on property. The owner had a new pack-n-play in the condo with sheets and additional padding. It really was a nice touch. Our only complaint would be the mattresses were really too firm. We didn't get great sleep there. But given everything else, it was still a really nice place. We are already planning to come back next summer. :)
