Destin Area Events

There's a celebration going on just about all the time in Destin, making it a fun place to be year-round. Several festivals, including October's Destin Seafood Festival and the month-long Destin Fishing Rodeo, celebrate the Gulf's edible gifts from the sea. There's also the annual Emerald Coast Poker Run, which takes place at the end of Boat Week. Participating boats pay an entrance fee, then travel to designated spots to pick up cards. The boat with the best poker hand at the end of the run is the winner. Proceeds from the poker run go to local children's charities. And every month sees plenty of live concerts, theater and dance performances, wine tastings, food festivals, and arts and crafts shows. Sandestin Wine Festival

Each year, Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort transforms itself into the South of France with a four-day event providing participants with an entertaining and educational atmosphere to enjoy fine wine. Don't miss the opportunity to taste your share of the excitement. The festival goers will be treated to more than a dozen events including private dinners and the Destin Charity Wine Auction. ArtsQuest Fine Arts and Music Festival

ArtsQuest is a juried art show open to the public featuring original art from more-than 100 national artists. Attendees have the opportunity to view and purchase the unique, award-winning pieces and a $5 admission donation is requested. In its 36th year, the festival will also be home to a variety of activities including interactive public art projects, art activities for kids and live music.

Destin Fishing Rodeo

The Destin Fishing Rodeo is a highly anticipated fishing tournament for saltwater anglers. Since 1948, the Rodeo has awarded a variety of prizes to all divisions and attracts huge crowds each year for the fun-filled competition.
