Bailey's Charters

Bailey's Charters provides professional private fishing excursions and custom island tours under the leadership of Captain Stephen Bailey. Having fished the coastal waters of Southwest Florida his entire life, Captain Bailey emphasizes a welcoming, educational, and patient environment, maintaining a strict policy against swearing or frustration on deck to ensure an enjoyable day for anglers of all experience levels. Trips are conducted aboard a clean, professionally maintained, and USCG-inspected center console boat equipped with top-tier fishing gear. For maximum guest comfort, the boat includes ample dry storage space, a multimedia sound system, and a private, fully enclosed flush toilet built directly into the center console area.

The company offers a selection of specialized maritime packages, ranging from 4 hour quarter day and 6 hour three-quarter day trips to 8 hour full day packages. For inshore excursions, Captain Bailey utilizes light spinning gear, stealthy presentations, and live bait to navigate protected, shallow estuaries, mangrove shorelines, and the Intercoastal Waterway near Caladesi Island and Anclote Island. These smooth-riding trips target prized regional species such as Redfish, Snook, Speckled Sea Trout, Black Drum, Sheepshead, and seasonal Sharks. For anglers looking to venture farther out, nearshore trips travel up to 25 miles into the Gulf of Mexico to bottom-fish natural ledges, drop-offs, and artificial reefs for Gag Grouper, Hogfish, Mangrove Snapper, Amberjack, Tripletail, King Mackerel, and Spanish Mackerel.

Operating efficiently out of the central Clearwater Beach area, Bailey's Charters coordinates passenger departures directly from the Seminole Boat Ramp. This tactical launch location provides swift, direct access to both the shallow intracoastal flats and the open nearshore reef systems, minimizing travel times so guests can maximize their active time on the water. Every booking is completely all-inclusive, covering all necessary Florida saltwater fishing licenses, premium rods, reels, live bait, tackle, and ice-filled coolers for passenger food and beverages. Guests are asked to bring polarized sunglasses, wide-brimmed hats, light rain jackets, and standard lotion sunscreen, as spray-on sunscreens are prohibited due to the damage they cause to the boat's upholstery. Following the trip, Captain Bailey provides complimentary, professional fish cleaning and filleting services at the dock, carefully bagging your fresh catch so it is ready for local "cook-your-catch" restaurants or home preparation.
