Bonita Springs Vacation Information

Bonita Springs is a jewel of a vacation destination between Fort Myers and Naples in Southwest Florida. Situated on both Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, Bonita Springs – and numerous nearby barrier islands – provide gracious opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, tanning, strolling along the coast, or just relaxing on the beach listening to beautiful blue Gulf waves. It’s Florida’s northernmost west-coast city with a tropical climate – January mean of 64ºF – ensuring that even in winter, enjoying the great outdoors is a comfortable undertaking.

One of the last undeveloped barrier islands in the Bonita Springs area is home to Barefoot Beach Preserve Park, home to the sixth best beach in the United States, according to a 2013 ranking by Forbes. In addition to romping on this pristine playground, vacations will want to schedule time for other local attractions, including the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center; Lovers Key State Park, with 2.5 miles of pristine beach, 5 miles of hiking and biking trails, and frequent sightings of manatee, dolphin, gopher tortoises and wading birds; and Bonita Beach Park, with 2.5 acres of beachfront with a boardwalk, swimming area, gazebo and picnic shelters.
