Noshing for a Good Cause

raccoon_standing-editedHistoric Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton Beach is the setting for the fourth annual wine and cheese reception, 2 — 4 p.m., Sunday, July 22,   benefitting the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. Guests will enjoy snacks, wine, and cheese while listening to live music and animal rescue stories told by refuge staff and volunteers. There will also be special appearances by the Animal Ambassadors, trained shelter residents sure to win the hearts of all. This year alone, Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge has rescued more than 1,200 sick, injured, or orphaned animals.   The Okaloosa Island facility is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to conservation and rehabilitation of Florida wildlife. Funding is provided solely through donations of local residents and businesses, including Magnolia Grill owners Tom and Peggy Rice.
