Pumpkinpalooza Serves Up Spooktacular Fun

There will be ghosts, ghouls, and goblins galore at Destin’s HarborWalk Village for this year’s Pumpkinpalooza Party Weekend, planned for October 26, 27, and 28. The fun starts Friday, October 26, with a viewing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And in the best midnight movie tradition, audience participation is strongly encouraged. Show time is 8 p.m. on the main stage, and props will be provided. Trick-or-treaters of all ages will have a chance to strut their stuff — or ride on a float and toss beads to the crowd - on Saturday during the Fantasea Parade and Costume Contest. The parade through the village starts at 7 p.m., followed by the Grown-Up Ghouls Creative Costume Contest at 9 p.m. Sunday’s celebrations are a family affair, with the Not-So-Spooky Family Fest from 2 to 5 p.m. The afternoon’s activities include trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, and, to end the evening, a little goblins’ costume contest and a pets’ costume contest at 4 p.m. To start planning a Destin vacation, just click on the links for Destin vacation rentals, Destin shopping, Destin recreation, Destin fishing, and Destin restaurants, and start planning some end-of-summer fun today.
