This modern property is fantastic. In a quiet neighborhood in the heart of Princeville it's walking distance to a grocery store,ice cream and coffee shop. The house in on a cul-de-sac and is very private. The lanai was surround by high vegetation so you felt like you where in your own island retreat. The house was well maintained and well supplied with both kitchen ware and beach support. The beach chairs & cooler were the elements we used most, but there were sand toys for kids and bikes as well. The house was spacious and there were several areas to chill. My family loved it.

We have stayed at rentals all over the world and this is by far the best stocked house we stayed at from clean and ALL the kitchen accessories and appliances were there (Tupperware, spices, bowls with lids, luxury linens!) It was also so clean and luxurious! There were plenty of beach supplies and we used the foam long boards to surf at hanelai. Finally the communication was great from the beginning. The app is easy to use and we will for sure stay there again when we return to Kauai. One thing I wish someone had described as the bedroom set up ( it worked well for us) but the bedroom with the twin bed is upstairs and the bathroom for it is downstairs unless you want to share the master bath (also upstairs).
The two rooms with queens are downstairs with connecting bathroom.
Our group had a bunch of athletes and the house/Pronceville has plenty of running trails and one in our group a membership at the lap pool/fitness center for $150. There are two cruiser bikes you can use to get to the shopping center:)

This is a beautiful property in a wonderful location on the northern side of the island . We had a great time staying for nine days . The house is accommodated with all kitchen appliances needed, the garage had a many thugs for sport activities . The living room is large and there is a lot for light surrounded by the privacy for green trees and flowers . I would highly recommend the place. The management company had a very efficient and clear process of communication

We've come to Princeville on an annual basis for 15 years. Group size increased to 7 this year so we went looking for a 4-bedroom. Surf Hale was the perfect spot. Super comfortable, great kitchen, beach gear, and loved finding the shortcut to zip over to disc golf, pickle ball courts, or Hanalei Nourish and the secret path to the beach below Hotel One. We rented Surf Hale for a family reunion, and it was absolutely perfect! My wife, her mother, her brother’s family, and I stayed in the home, while some of our relatives from Oahu rented nearby properties. The house became the central gathering spot for several family dinners, a fun movie night, and plenty of quality time together.
There was more than enough space for everyone—including the kids—to feel comfortable. Between the spacious lanai, the large backyard, and multiple gathering areas, the home offered a warm and welcoming environment for all. The layout made it easy to relax, connect, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Kauai, the North Shore, and the Princeville area.
If you’re looking for a property that combines comfort, space, and a true sense of island hospitality, Surf Hale is an excellent choice!

We stayed at the Surf Hale for one week in October 2025 and absolutely loved every minute of it. Home is laid out perfectly with two bedrooms on the floor level and two upstairs. Kitchen is well equipped, grill works great. Home is clean and outdoor area is very nice for breakfast with lush greenery all around. Would recommend 10/10!

From self check-in to departure two weeks later, Surf Hale felt like a true second home. Comfortable beds, laundry, and a well-stocked kitchen made life easy, while beach chairs, coolers, and boogie boards set us up for days by the ocean. We loved our stay at this beautiful house. There was plenty of space for everyone in our group of 7 and the house was very clean and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials and we enjoyed eating outside in the deck and licking fresh fruit from the yard. It was really nice bonus to have access to all the beach gear in the garage—it saved time and money since we didn’t have to rent any of that gear. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

Surf Hale was such a beautiful house! We absolutely loved it. There was more than enough space for 3 adults and 2 teens and the common area and outdoor seating was plentiful and comfortable. The house was equipped with everything we could have asked for from the kitchen to the beach stuff. The best rental we've ever experienced!

There was also everything we needed for the beach at the house. We will definitely reccomend to our friends and when we are back to Kauai, we will definitely be staying here again! My family and I recently stayed at Surf Hale and I can’t rave enough about this house! My husband, our three young children and my dad and step mom were so impressed by how beautiful and comfortable Surf Hale is. It fit everyone’s needs perfectly and we all had plenty of room. Despite being in a neighborhood, our stay was very quiet. The house was stocked beyond our expectations with beach towels, beach equipment, kitchen tools, and necessities. It was incredibly clean and everything was in working order. To my amazement, the property managers sent John right over to collect our garbage when it wasn’t picked up by the trash collectors. John is so nice and we had a great chat! The air conditioning was a huge bonus as so many other Kauai rentals do not have a/c. This was the absolute PERFECT place to stay for our return to Kauai and we can’t wait wait to return AGAIN!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Surf Hale. The home was extremely clean and well supplied. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet (except the occasional rooster!)The beach gear was a big bonus. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen had pretty much everything you need to cook at home. The only suggestion I have would be to add two kids bikes to compliment the adult beach cruisers. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I hosted our 2 daughters and son and each of their spouses. Surf Hale was a well appointed, modernly furnished, spacious and comfortable. The master shower was huge. The Princeville area is the perfect spot and beautiful. Do yourself a favor and eat Breakfast and lunch at the 76 Station at the entrance to the community. Extremely good good. We will definitely stay at Dun Hale again.

The house was huge and beautiful. It easily accommodated me, my 2 kids & their spouses and 2 grandkids. Although most of our time was spent on the South side the island, we thougherly enjoyed our time spent on the North Side, including the rental house.
