nice unit but needs updates

We have been coming to Destin Pointe for 20 years and love the community.

This unit was nice but needed some updates.

Lanai - Having an actual key to the lanai door was inconvenient. Yes there was a lock box where the key could be stored but that was difficult to operate. It would just make more sense to have an actual keypad for entry as other units have.

Unit - It was clean, cool and nice when we arrived.

Bedroom - We found the bed to be comfortable. Plenty of pillows. There were two tall fans in the closet that we used in the bedroom which were nice since there was not a ceiling fan. The nightstands were super tiny and not solid on top so small things fell easily.

Bathroom - We felt the bathroom was dated. The sink area was super low and dated. The bathtub/shower combo was dated. A nice updated shower would have been preferred as the bathtub always held water and sand during the showers. The showerhead and water pressure was AMAZING.

The tile in the entry and kitchen made it hard to see the sand when sweeping and sand would hide in the grout. We did use the vacuum to help in those areas.

Kitchen - The quartz countertops were beautiful. We found there were plenty of utensils, plates and bowls. An additional medium size saucepan would have been nice to have. The lighting in the kitchen was very dim. The light underneath the microwave was not working. Overall it was nicely equipped.

Laundry - The light above the washer/dryer was not working. The unit worked fine.

Living room - We enjoyed the oversized dining table. The sofa and loveseat were comfortable. WARNING: the rug in the living room area had zero traction and would slide easily. We rolled it up and put it away while we were there.

Balcony - The small loveseat was very nice to have on the balcony. There was also some additional seating as well.

We stayed for 5 days and was a great condo. Very clean, easy to park and get to condo door. Nice that pool was so close too!
Overall communication was great from Destin Point. Only negative was beach tram didn’t run 2 of the days we were there and we had an injured person in our party so made the walk harder to beach. Just wish they were able to give more notice then day of since it’s advertised as daily.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this condo was one for the books clean and convenient. The beach and pools were amazing and everyone is super friendly. Thank you Destin pointe for the amazing trip we will be back soon!

First of all, the entire staff was fantastic before, and during our stay. The overall property/grounds were also fantastic! Our only concerns were with a few things with the unit we stayed in. It is/was for sale and definitely needed numerous updates. The bed was lumpy, the furniture was dated/stained, the bathroom needed a complete remodel. We also had to sweep the floors and dust the kitchen counter on check in. With that being said, we would definitely stay again!
